True Prosperity

We are living in a time when our mind is constantly bombarded by the media’s stereotype of  what a woman should be, which is often ..Tall, skinny, with an outer beauty and a successful career. Over time, these subliminal messages can lead to feelings of inadequacy and thoughts of not been good enough even when you know you are doing your very best .If these negative emotions are not replaced with the blueprint of who God created you
to be it can rob you of your true identity, security and significance.

We are a society that is spending more time focusing on our outer appearance and natural achievements than we do nurturing our inner being. Yet, no matter how much we prep and pamper ourselves on the outside, if our soul is not being daily nourished we are not prospering. A healthy physical body requires natural food to stay alive. Likewise, our soul which is our mind, emotion and will requires a daily dose of spiritual nutrition for overall health. This nutritional intake can only be provided through prayer, bible study, meditation and daily devotions. God’s prayer and instruction for you today is “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” ( 3 John 1:2 NKJV )

         ~ Still A Rose~

You may have felt broken and neglected,
And often times you have been rejected;
But a beautiful rose is still a rose,
No matter where or how it grows!
For its beauty can never escape the eyes,
And it’s fragrance ….
No one can ever deny!

  1. Thanks Joyce for the reminder that it is the beauty of the heart that counts.

    • Thank you for your words of encouragement to continue to write and your conviction that there is a real need for sharing and caring for the ones who are wounded in their soul!
