I Am Holding Steadfast:

Whenever we lose anything that was of great value to us it is normal to mourn or feel sad. But there comes a time when we have to make a DECISION to take off those old grave clothes and keep on pressing. For any extended period of grieving and mourning over ANYONE or ANYTHING will derail our destiny and become detrimental to our soul and physical wellbeing.

After our NIGHT of weeping is over, we need to  have hope that our MORNING of joy is coming. “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” Hebrews 6:19 (NLT)

Joy is really a God-given gift that we have the ability to nurture from the inside out. Happiness on the other hand is something that we constantly have to chase after. Unfortunately, we can never fully catch it  because it is fleeting and ‘Always’ dependent on our surroundings and natural circumstances.

But while we may never be able to fully control all of the natural circumstances of life, we can keep hope alive as we hold steadfast to the Hand that will never change and the steady Rock that will never move!

       ~I Am Holding Steadfast~

I am holding steadfast to the hand that will never change.

And the steady Rock that will never move.

I am holding steadfast to the One,

Who spoke and still the storm,

And gave me the courage to carry on.

I am holding steadfast to the One,

Who has set me free;

And fashioned this special jewel,

That I am able to see!
