God Loved Us First.

It is the month of Valentines….. And love is in the air! But while some of us may have found love, others may have lost it in the battles of life…. But let us choose not to become offended with God for the things we have suffered. Rather, let us move beyond the rubble and look into the Eyes Of Perfect Love realizing that God first loved us! Here is the biblical example of true Love. “God is love. When we take up permanent residence in a life of love, we live in God and God lives in us. This way, love has the run of the house, becomes at home and mature in us, so that we’re free of worry on Judgment Day—our standing in the world is identical with Christ’s. There is no room in love for fear. Well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life—fear of death, fear of judgment—is one not yet fully formed in love. We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.” 1 John 4:17-19 MSG
Let us be thankful for the daily blessings that God bestows upon us. But let us remember that love is not about Stuff that is only temporary. For all of the material things that we accumulate, celebrate and hold so dear apart from Him are all just vanity. God is the giver and sustainer of our lives….. For unless He breathes His breath in us we have no life! He is the Light in the darkness. He is still the One who opens blind eyes, cause the lame to walk, cleansed the lepers, cause the deaf to hear, raised the dead and reveals the good news of the gospel.

May we all receive Him as our first Valentine. And let us count ourselves blessed that even in our pain, disappointments and brokenness…….the God of heaven has committed Himself to love us for all of eternity. Truly God is for us and never against us. SELAH! Happy Valentines

Why I Write.

Today, I am thanking God for giving me the ability to pen words that leaves an indelible mark.. The pen gives expression to what lies deep within the soul. My pen seeks to daily write my heart story. But my hope is that it will also encourage others and help them to write their own story.

        ✍MY PEN✍

My pen is the greatest Therapy,

It has a voice that will readily speak for me.

My pen is always ready to take another note,

That will add an inspiration;

And enhances my growth.

My pen travels in the light,

And writes clearly in the dark.

My pen offers no apology,

For it only seeks for truth;

And not for man’s theology!

My Morning Prayer.

“And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. I Chronicles 4:10 NKJV

May God create in us a clean heart so that He can grant our request as He did in the life of Jabez!

🙏🏽My Morning Prayer🙏🏽

LORD, I don’t want anything,

That will cause me to stress.

And I don’t want anything,

That You cannot bless!
LORD, I don’t want anything,

That is temporary.

And I don’t want anything,

That I can get in a hurry!
LORD, I don’t want anything gotten,

For my selfish gain.

And I don’t ever want anything,

That would cause any pain.

Living the GOOD LIFE is not about status. It is not about chasing after money, and it is not even all about you. It is about LOVING GOD and LOVING PEOPLE!
This scripture gives us God’s simple Recipe for LIVING THE GOOD LIFE! “Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing. Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful; Snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth. God looks on all this with approval, listening and responding well to what he’s asked; But he turns his back on those who do evil things.” 1 Peter 3:8-12 MSG

Move On With Your Life.

So often we are waiting on our abusers to come back and say ” I was wrong or I am sorry.” Unfortunately our abusers DO NOT REMEMBER. They are suffering from AMNESIA! But God has not forgotten. He is keeping the books and His account is always accurate. Ultimately He will right every wrong! But don’t spend your precious time waiting for justice. GO ON with your LIFE. TRUST GOD, continue to DO GOOD and FORGIVE!

   Make this your prayer today……

      ~I Have Faith~

I have Faith in a God that I cannot see,
I have Faith that all things will work out for me.

I have Faith to believe that He will right every wrong,

I have Faith to believe that He will keep me strong.

I have Faith to believe Christ is coming again,

And that in His reign and His kingdom there will be no end.

I have Faith to believe that his Word is enough,

And that in spite of the challenges;

I am a child that He loves!

Day # 100: Of My 100 Day’s Challenge Of Counting It All Joy.

I am thankful that I made it to my 100 Day’s Challenge of Counting It All Joy. Now it is time for me to cross over into the New Year 2018.

Whether you are making a new resolution or working on a present solution, you need to confront Pharaoh! The children of Israel once had a Pharaoh that God had to deliver them from.“ And the LORD spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the LORD: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.”‭‭Exodus‬ ‭8:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Whether you believe it or not, we all have a Pharaoh somewhere in our lives! It may be an actual person that keeps tearing you down and hindering you from reaching your destiny. It may be the mistakes from the past that keeps haunting you. It may be a stubborn habit that won’t let you quit. It may even be your own voice that says “I Can’t.” It may be your present circumstances that allows you to take one giant step forward, then two painful steps backwards.

But no matter what it is or how it looks, it is time to leave Egypt and cross the River Jordan into your promised land. And remember this, whenever you prepare to make a transition, old pharaoh is going to tell you that you will never be free. As a matter of fact, he will try to send his army after you to bring you back to familiarity. For he knows that when a life of bondage is all that you have known, true freedom can feel like a real threat. But fear not! Jesus has already mapped out your deliverance! So go ahead and tell Pharaoh GOODBYE! Then take the hand of Jesus and move forward with courage and strength. Don’t look back! And never regret leaving the wilderness! For those sentiments of the past will only sabotage your progress and set up a permanent monument that spells DEFEAT!

Pharaoh will tell you,

That you will never be free;

But don’t listen to his lies,

And don’t you agree!
Pharaoh will entice you,

To return to your mess;

But just look to your Savior,

And you will pass the test!
Pharaoh will remind you,

Of the onions and leaks;

And threaten that if you leave him,

You will have nothing to eat.
But Jesus owns the cattle,

That is sitting on the hill;

And He will turn the tide,

And He will do what He wills!

The Power Of The Pen.

Day # 99: Of My 100 Day’s Challenge Of Counting It All Joy.

I am thankful for the power of the pen that always find words to nourish the soul, challenge me to grow spiritually and leave an indelible mark.I am thankful for the Poetic gift that gives expression to the soul and the deeper and secret longings of the heart.Some times what I am unable to say out loud I can write.

Taking this 100 Day’s Challenge has allowed me to rejoice even when I did not feel like it. It has challenged me to keep going when I wanted to give up. It has challenged me to forgive and forget. But above all, it has challenged  my faith to keep on growing ,loving and giving!

Happy Birthday Jesus.

Day # 97: Of My 100 Day’s Of Counting It All Joy.

It is Christmas morning. But I am not looking for anything under a Pine tree! After all, it is Jesus Birthday, and not mine! And anyway , all the STUFF that we keep accumulating from year to year is only TEMPORARY! But Faith, Hope and Love are the gifts of God’s Son that are ETERNAL!

I am Counting It All Joy that because of Jesus I am STILL BREATHING! I am thankful that I don’t have to worry about tomorrow. For the scripture reminds me that He will remain Wonderful,Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. So today I am celebrating Jesus birth! And I am going to embrace 2018 with Joy knowing that our government will be upon His shoulder and not mine!

Merry Christmas to all! And may you and your family experience the true meaning of Christ birth. John 3:16
