Don’t Lose Your Head.

Day # 84: Of my 100 Day’s Challenge of Counting It All Joy.

The only crown that I desire is the crown of wisdom. For Godly wisdom will preserve me and protect my brain from the mental assaults and challenges of everyday living. The book of Proverbs says that we are to “Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.” Proverbs 4:5-9 NKJV

Today, I am getting the best workout for free! I am embracing wisdom and I am refusing to let anybody crown me and cause me to lose my head!

               ~ Do Not~

Do not let anybody crown you,
And try to mess with your brain.

For they will give you accolades in the sunshine,

Then leave you drowning in the rain.

Do not let anybody entice you,

With their smile and their flattering words.

For you will give them the power to hurt you,

And the right to humiliate and demote you.

Failure Is Not Final

If you woke up this morning you have a very good reason to be thankful.
You’re still breathing and that means your life has purpose; there’s a reason you’re still here. So no matter where you are or what you may be facing, you still have another opportunity to discover your purpose and move forward.

In life we have all experienced failure, challenges and disappointments, but failure does not have to be our final destination. Our past does not have to dictate our future. Sometimes out of the ashes and rubble of our lives we find our true passion, calling or destiny.

Today, you can be thankful that failure is not final:
For you can gain great understanding from your past mistakes and failures.
You can grow in the knowledge of the present.
And you can plan more wisely for the future. Above all, you can choose to become an instrument of change. Yes, You can use your time, finances, gifts and talents to help and make this world a better place to live. Take inventory today. Ask yourself who can I help? Where am I using my energy , where am I placing my investments?

It Takes Courage

Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can’t practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage.  – Maya Angelou

It is so easy to be inspired when you hear about ordinary people doing great things. But when it comes to facing the challenges of our own life we usually need a double dose of Courage to make it through.

Courage is the ability to disregard fear, and that means-

Taking a leap of faith:

It takes courage to keep on going when you are not feeling your best. It takes courage to keep on giving when you get nothing in return. But no matter what happens each day, we wake up believing that  the sun will shine again.

Faith is in operation every day of our lives. It is a very powerful force, and it has corresponding action. Every day, by faith we are acting on what we believe whether good or bad.

The God-kind of faith is actually the highest form of faith. And it is the one that He rewards most. This kind of faith will require us to leave our Comfort Zone and step out on a limb. But when we choose this level of faith it will Dare us to BELIEVE ~ DREAM BIG ~ and do SOMETHING that we have never done before.
