The words of the American Constitution are beautiful when read in it’s unvarnished state. “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness-”

🇺🇸Let us not change the interpretation.

🇺🇸Let us honor the founders who drafted the Declaration of Independence.

🇺🇸Let us endeavor to love one another.

🇺🇸Let us use our freedom not to harm, but for the good of society.

🇺🇸Let us pledge to honor and preserve freedom and true Liberty for all people.

Our Spoken Words.

Our spoken words often lacks truth. Yet, they have the power to influence our actions and outcomes in a negative way. Our unbridled tongue can be used to Hurt, Curse, Lie and Slander others unmercifully. With the help of the News Media, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram our Venom is now able to travel faster and Sting longer in a more sophisticated and acceptable way. We have the freedom to speak, but it is a freedom that comes with a responsibility! As individuals we are responsible for our words. We must Think before we speak, realizing that our words has the power to uplift or tear down. Even when we feel the need to correct or disagree we must do so in a way not to wound but to heal! Let us challenge ourselves today and everyday to choose our words wisely and leave an indelible mark of inspiration.

I am on Day # 60 of my 100 Days Challenge of Counting It All Joy, and it is Independence Day!

I am Counting It All Joy today as I Celebrate Independence Day. For I realize that I am living in a Country where I can experience certain rights and privileges but never without taking responsibility and accountability. Independence is not my license to say or do whatever I please. It is rather a sober reminder and a charge to maintain the principles upon which our Nation was built. “We hold these truths to be self- evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life,liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Declaration of Independence as originally written by Thomas Jefferson, 1776, ME 1:29 Papers 1:315 

The idea of this basic principle of equality was never intended to change between Then and Now! Merriam Webster dictionary defines the word Unalienable as ” impossible to take away or give up.” So as we gather all across this nation to celebrate this special holiday, let us remember the heart and words of our founding fathers. Let us endeavor to never oppress or take away basic human rights. Let us walk in love with one another. Let us pursue peace. But above all, let us daily use our freedom to serve humanity and always do unto others as we would have them do unto us.

Count Your Blessings

Day # 18: Today, you can be thankful for your blessings.

In spite of the past or current state of the economy, we are still living in one of the greatest nations in the world. There is so much to be thankful for. So let us begin this thanksgiving season by counting our blessings for:
*Our freedom,
*Health
*Food,Clothing,Shelter
*Life, Love, Laughter
*Good family times,
*Good influences,
*Good opportunities
*Friends and good conversation.

You Have The Power

Reason # 10

You can count it all joy because You Have the Power

Abuse at anytime or in any form is unacceptable. Merriam Webster dictionary defines abuse as a corrupt practice or custom, improper or excessive use or treatment,a deceitful act, language that condemns or vilifies usually unjustly, intemperately, and angrily, physical maltreatment. Whether the pain of abuse is self-inflicted or perpetuated by another, it is never too late to take back your power!

The first step to freedom from abuse is to acknowledge that there is a problem. Secondly, we have to take responsibility for our own lives and stop playing the role of the victim. Thirdly, we must be willing to reach out for help from God, family   friends and our community.

Taking back your power is never easy but it is necessary if you want to be free. Start today by making a decision to take back your power from those who have hurt or abused you.


I’m taking back the power,

That I have given to you;

And I am not making anymore excuses

For the things that you do!

I’m taking back the power,

That I have given to you;

And I am taking lessons

From the suffering that I have been through.

I’m taking back the power,

That I have given to you;

And I am saying goodbye to the old memories

Because I am over you!

It’s A Peace Thing!

Reason 3: You can count it all joy because you have peace with God!

Webster’s dictionary defines peace as a state of tranquility or quiet, freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, the bible says that peace is your inheritance. Romans 5:1 (NKJV) says, “Having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Our faith in God gives us the legal right to have fellowship and walk in peace. Peace is not dependent on our natural circumstances. Jesus said that in the world we would experience problems but we must never let our hearts be troubled.

How is that possible to achieve! Our freedom from stress and anxiety comes when we learn how to receive the gift of God’s peace. He has also given us his Word to speak comfort and hope to us.  He has promised to keep us in perfect peace when our mind is focused on Him. Above all, He has commanded us to cheer up in the midst of trouble because in Him we have already obtained the victory!
