Why I Write.

Today, I am thanking God for giving me the ability to pen words that leaves an indelible mark.. The pen gives expression to what lies deep within the soul. My pen seeks to daily write my heart story. But my hope is that it will also encourage others and help them to write their own story.

        ✍MY PEN✍

My pen is the greatest Therapy,

It has a voice that will readily speak for me.

My pen is always ready to take another note,

That will add an inspiration;

And enhances my growth.

My pen travels in the light,

And writes clearly in the dark.

My pen offers no apology,

For it only seeks for truth;

And not for man’s theology!

TwentY SixteeN

TwentY SixteeN……..
  This Sassy Bee is breaking ties with the past and becoming more fruitful in her character. In 2015 my emotions were tested and tried, and I almost flunked the LOVE test! But in 2016, I am believing that my greatest fruit will be ‘LOVE’. For when LOVE is fully nurtured and the emotions are not allow to rule, all of the other fruits will surely develop!

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV

HaPPy NeW YeaR To All!

Begin it by breaking ties,
From the ghost of the past;

And embrace the bright future,

With a brand new start.

Begin it with a time of reflection,

And a plan for moving forward in the right direction.

Begin it by putting away the foolish things,

And seek for the growth that maturity brings.

Begin it by being a blessing to someone else,

And always remember;

That the true joy of living;

Is never about self!

Get Off The Branch

Day # 14: Today, you can be thankful that you no longer have to live on the branch.

Sometimes life will require us to get off the branch and spread our wings in a direction that is unknown. Leaving the nest is never easy, and learning how to fly can be a very scary thought. But not knowing where we are going can be even more unsettling. The nest is often a place of security, warmth and comfort. After awhile that comfort zone can lull us into a false sense of security which traps us and ultimately hinders our growth and development. We were not created to hang out on a limb but to soar to great heights. It is time to leave the nest!

*Only one word of caution! Trust God, but never fear the place where He is taking you!

When fear comes knocking at your door,
Ask Faith to get up and answer it.
When fear comes knocking at your door,
Let Faith point you to the Word and settle the score.
When fear comes knocking at your door,
Let Faith rise up like the eagle;
And help you to soar!

Everyone wants results, but nobody wants to be patient.
However, patience must do a work in and upon us before we can enter into that level of growth called progress. At this level there are some critical questions that we must begin to ask ourselves and some major decisions that we have to make-
like how long have I been at this station of life?
What is my internal ticker telling me?
What are the warning signals that I am not progressing?
What is my yardstick for measuring progress?
What is my plan for moving forward and avoid stagnation?
This may be the opportune time to make a decision to invest in your own personal growth and success.
These decisions may include family, education, finances, health
Asking God for wisdom and success
Seeking help and advise from experts in your area of interest.
This is also a perfect time to get the vision from your head unto paper.
*That means developing a plan
*Writing it down
*Taking action

Determination is a key to continual growth and development. But as you continue to develop patience and make progress you will continually be moving towards perfection- which is a stage of Refinement, Growth and Maturity. At this stage learning does not seize, but strength is being maximized and wisdom is at a premium.

Patience Is A Virtue

Patience really is a virtue. “It is the capacity to endure what is difficult or disagreeable without complaining.” (Merriam Webster ) Exercising that kind of patience requires adopting a lifestyle of positive perseverance. However, in our modern age and way of thinking we often equate patience with waiting or a lack of productivity .

Contrary to what we believe, patience is not an impotent state, but a time when we are pregnant with potential. For during the waiting season of our lives there is a Work that is been performed in and upon us. So often, this is the stage that we want to bypass. Yet this is the very place where our greatest growth and development is taking SHAPE! In this place, there is an opportunity for Quiet Reflection, Meditation, Evaluation and Self-Regulation.

The waiting period is a time when we might feel like our life is in a holding pattern. But it is also a time when we are compelled to take inventory and ask ourselves what really matters? As we do we are then able to reorder our priorities and make the necessary changes that will help us to move forward and make progress.

Every time we exercise patience, we will grow a bit more steady on our life journey. And that is something we can all be thankful for.

Devotional Challenge

In our fast paced society  people often have no time for quiet reflection. Our lives are spinning out of control as we attempt to balance our schedules and the demands of everyday life! There is a great need for balance.

Count it all joy has been on a series looking at the many ways that we can count it all joy. Today, I would like to introduce you to a product from our devotional  line  called The Quiet Time Companion. This 31 day devotional  journal is designed to help you in your spiritual growth and development. Part of that journey includes setting aside time for fun activities, reading the bible, studying and journaling.

Journaling  provides  an opportunity to pour your heart out on paper without any fear or inhibition. It is  a great way to unload. Above all it can help you to write the vision for your life and chart the progress.

The 31 day Quiet Companion begins with:

*A personal poem

* A thought for reflection

* A scripture

* Space to write your own personal  thoughts.

I charge everyone to take the next  31 days  to meditate, pray and  write the things that come into your heart and see if it does not change your life. At the end of 31 days I would like you to come back to this blog and share how this experience has changed your life for the better.

Transforming Pain Into Purpose

In the midst of the greatest technological age people seem to be under tremendous pressure. Like never before, they are faced with increasing threats of terrorism, wars, rumor of wars, earthquakes, flood warnings, and the ongoing economic crisis. As if these issues are not enough, they are also faced with their own personal barrenness and pain that is reflected in the ashes of their past.

Many have lost hope and can see no way out. Yet God has promised to take our pain and transform it into purpose when we put our trust in Him. It is said that in nature periods of great renewal and growth often follow periods of significant disturbance and even seeming destruction. For out of our ashes God is able to make new life grow. As we daily look to Him our personal pain can give way to new or renewed purpose and hope.
