Don’t Lose Your Head.

Day # 84: Of my 100 Day’s Challenge of Counting It All Joy.

The only crown that I desire is the crown of wisdom. For Godly wisdom will preserve me and protect my brain from the mental assaults and challenges of everyday living. The book of Proverbs says that we are to “Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.” Proverbs 4:5-9 NKJV

Today, I am getting the best workout for free! I am embracing wisdom and I am refusing to let anybody crown me and cause me to lose my head!

               ~ Do Not~

Do not let anybody crown you,
And try to mess with your brain.

For they will give you accolades in the sunshine,

Then leave you drowning in the rain.

Do not let anybody entice you,

With their smile and their flattering words.

For you will give them the power to hurt you,

And the right to humiliate and demote you.

Humility And Servanthood.

      Day # 83 : Of My 100 Day’s Challenge Of Counting It All Joy.

      Today, I am Counting It All Joy for the little mundane things that daily adds up and make a big difference! Greatness is best demonstrated in our actions. It is most evident when we have a reverential fear of our Creator, when we show honor and love people. It is that Simple! Humility and Servanthood! These are the things that keeps me grounded.

      Lay Aside The Weights.

      Some weights that you are carrying are not of your own making. They were picked up because of your desire to show compassion and do good. Unfortunately, the beneficiaries of your kindness have moved on to higher grounds. And yes, they are oblivious to the fact that they have left you with scars and wounds that only your Creator can heal. The end result is they have tripped you up and hindered you from running your life race.
      Jesus is the only one I know who successfully ran His race with the weight of the world upon His shoulders and rose up victoriously! His word of advice for today is “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne. Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin. Hebrews 12:1-4 NLT

      Jesus is not insensitive to your pain. He is your burden bearer. However, He is saying loud and clear that it is time to lay aside the weights and move forward.

      Moving forward means:

      *Forgiving yourself for been deceived.
      *Forgiving those who have wounded you.

      *Asking God to restore your soul and put you back on his original path and timetable.

      It also means:

      *Watching your associations.

      *Detoxing your mindset & thoughts patterns.

      *Watching over your conversations and making positive confessions.

      *Getting a heavenly perspective of your circumstances.

      *But above all, it means making a decision to stop bleeding over the bygone years.

      *It is time to tell your betrayers, “You Tried To Sting Me, but I didn’t feel that!

      Day # 49: Of 100 Days Of Counting It All Joy.

      Lord, let me live my life in view of eternity,

      And let me mentor the ones;

      Lord, let me live my life in view of eternity,

      And let me be a vessel;

      That brings honor and glory to You.

      Day # 40: Of 100 Days Of Counting It All Joy.

      It is Day # 40 of my 100 Days of Counting It All Joy. On this journey, I am excited about the treasures and pleasures that still awaits me. Today I am Counting It All Joy because of the beauty of God’s Creation!

         ~MY WINDOW~

      I am looking out my window pane.

      I see sunny skies,

      And there’s no sign of rain.
      I am looking out with a heart of praise,

      As I honor my Savior in all of my ways.

      I am looking out with expectancy,

      To capture all of God’s beauty that I need to see.

      Day # 38: Of  100 Days Of Counting It All Joy.

      Today I can Count It All Joy because I am meditating on His Goodness and Faithfulness.

      The best way to stir up a heart of thanksgiving is to recount the goodness and faithfulness of God. Psalm 136 is a recurring reminder of God’s commitment and faithfulness to deliver His people. I am so thankful that He provides a way out!

                          ~I Am Thankful~

       I am thankful for the breath that He gives,

      And the wisdom that I need to live.

      I am thankful for His amazing grace,

      And the strength that He gives to endure in the race.

      All that I possess has been given by Him.

      And for every good deed that I have done,

      All honor and glory goes back to the Son!

      Happy Mother’s Day.

      What a beautiful time to celebrate two very important events..Graduation & Mother’s Day! Moments like these reminds us that our Children are truly God’s gift to us. And our greatest responsibility is to raise them up  with a strong sense of self, heritage, honor and integrity. This can only be accomplish through many years of love, patience, nurturing, influence and training. The end result is that we will ultimately see our reflection in them and they will one day rise up and call us blessed!
      (These two poems reflects the heart of a child to a Mother)

           ~MOTHER~
      You are an instrument,
      Of the Father’s love;
      And you are a beautiful treasure,
      From heaven up above.
      You are a helping hand,
      In the time of need;
      And for every cry of my voice,
      I have known you to heed.
      You are an example,
      Of what a woman should be;
      And I am grateful for all of the values
      That you have given to me.

           ~MY PRECIOUS MOM~

      To my precious Mom on Mother’s Day,
      This little note has come to say;
      That I honor you in a special way.
      To my precious Mom on Mother’s Day,
      This little note has come to say;
      That my love for you is here to stay.
      To my precious Mom on Mother’s Day,
      This little note has come to say,
      That you have inspired and encouraged me;
      To be the person that I am today!

      PSALM of THANKSGIVING

      Day #27:Today, you can be thankful for your many blessings.

      Today, you can be especially thankful for your health, shelter, family, good friends, good food, and good conversations. As you gather around the Thanksgiving table be sure to give thanks openly for all of those special people in your life. Seek also for an opportunity to reach out to those who are helpless, homeless or feel hopeless. For you are blessed. And you have been called to be a blessing!

      And now, will you kindly ask all of the ‘Real Turkeys’ in the house to please stand up and offer up a prayer of Thanksgiving!

      ~PSALM of THANKSGIVING~

      Lord, I choose to honor Your name on the face of this earth,
      And I thank You for my Savior and such a new birth.
      Lord, I thank You for supplying my daily bread,
      And the Blood upon Calvary’s Cross that You shed.
      Lord, I thank You for paying every debt that I owed,
      And the removal of every bad seed that I sowed.
      Lord, I thank You for giving me a heart to forgive,
      And for providing an example of how I should live.
      Lord, I thank You that sin has no dominion over me,
      For You have ransomed my soul and I am totally free.
      Lord, I thank You for delivering my soul from the evil one,
      And for wisdom to grow and to understand.
      Lord, I thank You that Your will in my life on this earth will be done,
      And that all glory and honor will be given to the Son.

      Count Your Blessings

      Day # 22: Today, you can be thankful for the little things.

      In life we tend to spend more time focusing on what we don’t have instead of appreciating the little things that we do have. I grew up on a tiny Island in the Caribbean under very poor social and economical conditions. The only food that we consumed was what we planted. All we ever knew was the hard physical labor of daily working in the fields. We had no refrigerator or electricity.We had to walk barefoot for miles and miles to fetch one bucket of water. And we had to leave our little broken down shack to go to the latrine( a hole in the ground) My tiny island in Montserrat still remains a Ghost Town from the devastating volcano eruption in 1996.Yet, the most important lessons that we were taught as a child was to HONOR GOD, BE THANKFUL and BE RESPECTFUL to others. Today, these lessons are still serving me very well. I am counting my blessings and #IAmForeverGrateful!

      Prayer Is A Privilege

      Day # 7: Today, you can be thankful for the privilege of prayer.

      Prayer is a lifestyle. It is a privilege that requires great discipline. It is an acknowledgement of your dependence and your humble request for help from the author and giver of life.
      It is also a child-like trust that God hears you when you pray, and a belief that He can and will use His power on your behalf. But prayer is more than just a desperate cry for help. The highest form of prayer is one in which you are willing to offer thanksgiving to God for His Sovereignty and Majesty!

      Today, refuse to focus on your circumstances, but instead choose to magnify the Throne of Almighty God.

      ~Prayer~

      Prayer is more than just a wish- list,
      That you bring before the Throne.
      Prayer is giving Honor to the King,
      For every good and perfect thing.
      Prayer is lifting up the Name of Jesus high,
      For He is the One who took our sins and died.
      Prayer is offering up the sacrifice of praise,
      As we stand before the Master face to face.
      Prayer is standing in awe of His Majesty,
      To say ‘Thank You ‘ for the Mercy;
      That You have shown unto me.
