The Gifts And Calling.

Day # 85: Of my 100 Day’s Challenge of Counting It All Joy.

Today I am Counting It All Joy for the gifts and calling of God. I am thankful that He never withhold or recall His gifts. I Pray that I would be faithful to His call and continue to be a good steward of His manifold gifts. I pray that my life would truly be a reflection of His character and His glory in the earth.

     ~HE IS~

He is the cup,
That is overflowing.

He is the love,

That just keep on growing.
He is the hand,

That is always extended.

He is the One

Who rose up and ascended.
He is the hope,

For a brighter tomorrow.

He is the One who adds wealth ,

With no sorrow!

“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT

This scriptures tells us that no matter how much we accumulate in this life, there are only three things that will have any lasting value. Faith, Hope and Love are three things that cannot be bought with silver or gold! For these are God-given gifts to fallen humanity.

Wisdom says that it is time to pause and take inventory of the treasures that we are laying up here on earth. Then we must turn and look to The Eyes of Perfect Love and allow Him to fill our treasure boxes  with His eternal gifts of Faith, Hope and Love.

Lessons From Hidden Figures.

Every where I turn, I am hearing a conversation about the Movie Hidden Figures. But I am wondering  what valuable lessons have we learned after leaving the Theatre ? The movie has certainly challenged me to look around and ask, who are the hidden figures in my midst? Am I acknowledging them, or am I hindering them? Above all, am I doing everything within my power to help them reach their divine destiny. As I pondered these questions I had to pause and pray, Lord forgive me where I have been a stumbling block.

I have been reminded by this Movie not to let my race or my age define me. After all, the only race that God has ever commissioned me to run is the race of faith. And thankfully, He will never ask me to justify the color of my skin! However, He will ask me to give Him an account for the gifts, talents and resources that He has given to me. But when it comes to that forbidden question of age, I am refusing to focus on it. I am well aware that sooner or later we are all going to get old. But I am persuaded that God has a good plan for my life and He will be faithful to fulfill it. Therefore, I am just choosing to happily grow old doing what I have been called to do. And wherever I find hate and injustice, I am just going to say NOPE!

       ~Hidden Figures~

The hidden figure are not aliens,

That are somewhere in space.

They are everyday people.

Who are just running their race.
The Hidden Figures,

Are just people like you and I.

And who God has created,

No one should deny.
The Hidden Figures are a message,

Of Togetherness and Hope;

And a reminder …..

That wherever we find hate and injustice,

We need to say NOPE!

Michelle Obama.

A Tribute To First Lady Michelle Obama:

First Lady, you held your head high,

And you walked with such grace.

You always spoke a kind word,

And a genuine smile was upon your face.
The style that you’ve exhibited was always impeccable,

And the display of your humility was just so incredible.

You demonstrated that mediocrity must never be acceptable,

And you gave hope to so many women;

That nothing is impossible!
You have fought hard for the hidden daughters of destiny,

And your name will go down through the pages of history.

Your speech to go High when they choose to go low,

Is one that will be remembered wherever we go.

Do It Anyway.

Day #69 : Of my 100 Days  Challenge of Counting It All Joy.

Throughout my painful childhood and adulthood, what I could not say out loud I was able to write. Today, I am so thankful that God has given me the pen of a ready writer. It has served me well! Over the years, I have been able to pen eloquent words of comfort, love, hope and healing. In many ways those inspired words has become part of my own therapy and recovery.

But beyond the writings,Count It All Joy is committed to produce products that are inspired by faith, perfected by design and functional and stylish. It has not been easy. There has been many bumps along the path to the company’s growth and development. When I started the Company, I also found myself in the throes of divorce and 3/4 of my childhood homeland was devastated by a volcano eruption. During that season, what God was calling me to do was way beyond my natural ability and my wildest imagination. Even after praying and seeking Godly counsel, there were many visible and invisible forces that I still had to overcome. Today, Count It All Joy stands as a living testimony that God is able to bring restoration out of devastation. Here are a few lessons that I learned along the path to obedience.

💰Money will be tight,

And you will not feel right.

The cruse of oil might stop flowing,

And you won’t know where you are going.

Fear will try to stop you,

And doubts will harass you.

Your friends may laugh,

And total strangers may scoff.

Your own mind might suggest,

That you are really off.

Some people will mock you,

And family may not back you.

But when it comes to your own destiny,

Somethings you really just have to!

A Life Of Faith.

Day # 63: Of my 100 Days Challenge of Counting It All Joy.

Today I am reminding myself why I can Count It All Joy in spite of what is going on in the world. I am Counting It All Joy because the only Hope that I have in winning the war on evil is trusting God and living a life of Faith!

Lord, let not my ❤️be troubled,
By the evil that I see 👀.

And let me not get caught up in the fight,

But help me to🏃🏿walk daily;

In Your love and Your perfect💡light.

Lord, when I pray let me have what I believe,

And let me not be ignorant or be deceived.

Lord, let me not cast away my confidence,

For You are my Hope and my only strong defense.

Day # 7: Of 100 Days Of Counting It All Joy.

I can Count It All Joy because God has delivered my soul from the battle that was against me.

            ~Through The Storm~

God brought me through the raging storm,

When all hope to carry on was gone.

He took me from the battlefield,

Saying, ” Your redemption in Christ Jesus has been sealed.”
He placed me on a Solid Rock,

When the wind was beating on my back.

When my mind said that things would never change,

He said that my life He would rearrange.
He said that old things have passed away,

And that His Holy Spirit is here to stay.

He told me that I can do all things,

For the Mighty power He will bring.
He told me that I have overcome,

By the power of His Blessed Son.

He told me that His precious Blood,

Was poured out on me like a flood.

He told me that I need not fear,

For wherever I am, His Spirit is there.

I Am Holding Steadfast:

Whenever we lose anything that was of great value to us it is normal to mourn or feel sad. But there comes a time when we have to make a DECISION to take off those old grave clothes and keep on pressing. For any extended period of grieving and mourning over ANYONE or ANYTHING will derail our destiny and become detrimental to our soul and physical wellbeing.

After our NIGHT of weeping is over, we need to  have hope that our MORNING of joy is coming. “This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.” Hebrews 6:19 (NLT)

Joy is really a God-given gift that we have the ability to nurture from the inside out. Happiness on the other hand is something that we constantly have to chase after. Unfortunately, we can never fully catch it  because it is fleeting and ‘Always’ dependent on our surroundings and natural circumstances.

But while we may never be able to fully control all of the natural circumstances of life, we can keep hope alive as we hold steadfast to the Hand that will never change and the steady Rock that will never move!

       ~I Am Holding Steadfast~

I am holding steadfast to the hand that will never change.

And the steady Rock that will never move.

I am holding steadfast to the One,

Who spoke and still the storm,

And gave me the courage to carry on.

I am holding steadfast to the One,

Who has set me free;

And fashioned this special jewel,

That I am able to see!

Weep No More

 Illustration By Pat Flowers

  As I consider His Crucifixion and the power of His Resurrection, my only response is Thank You Lord for Your Sacrifice! For in You alone I Have found Hope, great Joy and an Abiding  peace! You have dried up my tears.You have lifted my cares and you have  given me a command to weep no more.
Weep no more,
For the things you have lost;
But lay your pain and disappointments,
At the foot of the Cross.
Weep no more,
For the wasted years;
But embrace the bright future,
That I have prepared.
Weep no more,
For the things that are dead;
But let My Power and Glory resurrect you instead.
Weep no more,
For I have delivered your soul;
And My plans for your future,
I will surely unfold!
